Driftaway is my mom’s favorite, and she orders the shrimp and grits every time. I’ve had it a number of times too. I haven’t written a review after every visit, but I’ve usually taken a photo. There are two different plates here—brunch and dinner—and each deserves its own review.

When I had it for brunch, it had 8 FRIED large shrimp over those incredible rich and fluffy cheese grits with the Alfredo-like sauce and a really tasty tomato compote. Solid A.
